Background and Goals:

Rose Solari is a poet, writer, and teacher whose current work focuses on the intersection of myth and life. She is the author of two full-length collections of poems, Orpheus in the Park and Difficult Weather, as well as two chapbooks of poems, Selections from Myths & Elegies and The Stolen World. Rose authored and performed in the multi-media play Looking for Guenevere, an Arthurian retelling, and is currently at work on a historical novel. Her goals for the website were:

  • Provide an avenue to publicize and sell her books.
  • Provide up-to-date information on her teaching and appearance schedule.
  • Be able to maintain her content and schedule herself.

Katalyst Role:

Katalyst implemented a content management system using the site layout designed by Dewitt Designs, Rose’s personal graphic designer. We took the design layout and created a template from it for use by the content management system (CMS). The CMS allows Rose to easily keep her site up-to-date, with upcoming books, her speaking and teaching schedule, personal letters, and more. This site also features a dynamically changing header graphic, which changes based on the page selected.
